Selection Committee Chair's Special Prize of the New Energy Award 2021
In the New Energy Award 2021 sponsored by the New Energy Foundation (with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), the Exchange Building of the ICI Lab of the ICI Center received the “Selection Committee Chair's Special Prize.”
The “Former Watanabe Jinkichi House” was reported for registration as a tangible cultural property. – Evaluated as an authentic Tudor and Western style house –
The National Council for Cultural Affairs reported to the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for registration of the Former Watanabe Jinkichi House (hereinafter referred to as the “Jinkichi House”) relocated and reconstructed in the ICI Center (Toride City, Ibaraki Prefecture) as a tangible cultural property (structure).
The formal decision will be announced in an official gazette and it will be the first national registered tangible cultural property in Toride City.
