■Shield Tunnel and Ductile Segment Technology
Maeda used ductile segments for the curved areas of shield tunnels and areas where two tunnels are in close proximity for the Tsukuba Express Minowa Tunnel and the Hibiya Utility Tunnel, ensuring high quality. In view of the success with this proven technology, ductile segments were adopted for the first time in Taiwan.
